Our Diocese

Holy Spirit Episcopal Church is part of the Diocese of Spokane. Our diocese encompasses the Inland Northwest, including Central Washington and Northern Idaho. The diocese is ably led by Bishop Gretchen Rehberg, Ph.D., D.Min. who was ordained and consecrated in March 2017 as the ninth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane. Bishop’s Committee

Episcopal churches are led by a board of volunteers, in our case called the Bishop’s Committee. Members of the board are lay people who serve a term of three years. Elections are held each year at the church’s annual meeting. Meetings are held after church services the third Sunday of each month and are open to any interested member.

Annual Report: At closure of each year, the Bishop’s Committee creates an Annual Report, in which the year’s activities, events, and finances are presented to its membership. (Annual Report coming soon)

Worship Support: There are many who support our worship through various ministries including Altar guild, acolytes, readers and ushers/greeters, and coffee hour hosts.
